Thank you for your support of the Little Creek Regatta to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on August 10-11, 2001. Together, with your generous donation we raised over $82,000 for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This was a tremendous event, and something that couldn’t be done without 3 Men and a Box’s aid and generous support. Thank you for taking the time to play at several of our Regatta events.
ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital provided no goods or services in return for this contribution. This gift will directly benefit the research and patient care at St. Jude Hospital.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded in 1962 by entertainer Danny Thomas, is the largest childhood cancer research center in America in terms of number of patients and treatment success. More than 17,000 children have been treated at St. Jude Hospital. No child has ever been denied treatment due to an inability to pay. When needed, we cover all costs for treatment, transportation, lodging and meals. The Hospital, whose daily operating costs are approximately $606,000, is primarily supported througb public contributions. St. Jude is fortunate to have the support of the Hampton Roads area and others in the
Mid-Atlantic area.
The Regatta Committee joins the Mid-Atlantic region’s long history of successful fundraisers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please know that your tax-deductible contribution will directly benefit the hospital and the many children who will succeed in their battle against cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.
